Brief: To achieve an old world look, reminiscent of an old English pub. Banquette seating on a classic leather look vinyl, with a diamond buttoned finish to create deep comfortable seating.
Outcome: A classic old English pub look

Brief: Achieve a luxurious entre to the Restaurant area with luxuriant, leather sofas in a modular design for the Restaurant.
Outcome: The creation of a plush alcove in the lobby with recessed seating and wall panelling. A leather wrapped back bar on the seating and deep diamond buttoning highlights the opulence of the imported natural mohair fabric.

Venue: Trak Showroom Club

Brief: Refurbishment of the Trak Cinema to become an upmarket entertainment venue. Design incorporates plush upholstery with piping detail recalling the era of hollywood art deco - black gloss wall panelling, mirror, banquette seating and ottomans create a comfortable elegant space.
Outcome: A sophisticated live music venue

Brief: A new modern look was required for the Point of Sale Display Units. All display units were re-shaped and required
re-upholstering.
Outcome: All the Australian stores, two in Sydney and one each in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth have a new, modern look to their Point of Sale display units, featuring a classy imported suede fabric.

Design Statement:
The venue consists of a ground level restaurant and an upstairs bar that is housed in an existing black glazed building. The metaphor of a kaleidoscope was used to create an internal environment based on the interplay of light, colour and reflection within this black box.

For the restaurant, a custom designed bronzed pendant with flicker flame lamps hanging over a circular banquette provides a central focus to the main dining area. The sense of motion and drama in the bar is heightened by circular mirrored booths spliced open and rotated to reveal sexy lounges softly awash with coloured light.

Brief to the designer or shopfitter:
The actual design brief was very loose, but called for a venue that was unique in feeling and palette. As such, the feeling that we aimed for was a sophisticated retro glam aesthetic which we wanted to achieve without resorting to kitsch or over-romanticizing.
